More than anything, I hope it spurs in you an interest in quantitative investing. I hope it will encourage you to continue learning and becoming a better investor.
If you’re an experienced investor, you may find in this course a fresh approach to Value and Momentum investing. You may find some useful tips to improving you performance, as well as references to academic and popular resources.
If you're new to quant investing, the course will provide you practical step-by-step instructions on using the quantitative strategy screeners on this website to create quant portfolios.
The course will evolve and grow over time. If you have feedback, suggestions, questions or content requests, you’re more than welcomed to post them on the dedicated course forum.
Module 1 - The Philosophy of Quant Investing
Module 1 lays out the foundation for Quant Investing and intelligent Value/Momentum investing in general. Investing is 10% knowledge and 90% temperament. We discuss the temperament, or mental framework, that an investor should develop to become successful in investing, in the long-term. We try to distill Quant Investing philosophy into three easy-to-understand principles, that will help every investor overcome the challenges of investing.

Module 2 - The Elephant Portfolio
In this module we will learn all about a simple and efficient portfolio, designed to whether any market condition, and earn an adequate return over the long term. It is The Elephant Portfolio. The Elephant Portfolio is constructed from 5 ETFs, and requires maintenance only once a year. It is a conservative portfolio, well diversified, with relatively low fees, especially compared to the value you get.
I will explain the principles of the portfolio and guide you step-by-step on implementing it, either in a real-money account, or a virtual account.
